Developed, advanced, and increased performance of a Vision Center of Excellence (VCE) in 2009, by working to improve vision health, optimizing readiness, and enhancing quality of life for Service members and Veterans. Enhanced the promotion, collaboration, and facilitation and integration for the advocacy for vision across DoD and VA healthcare systems. Additional collaborative efforts with other federal healthcare organizations, academia and private sector organizations enhanced education of VCE program priorities for research and quality care initiatives, as part of Government top-tier IT medical integrator synchronized within an Information Technology’s Health Solutions Group (HSG), valued as a $300 million (USD) healthcare business segment consisting of over 2,400 individuals.
Provided executive leadership and program management and successful completion of all-technical work, staff supervision, financial and business development activities, and development of the Strategic Management Plan for this multi-million dollar congressionally mandated DoD/VA health transformation program, designed to maximize patient-centered support close to home, unit and family.
