Global Vision for Healthcare

Appreciating the complexity of world problems takes time and experience. Once I started to travel the world as a military officer with the U.S. Army, providing logistical support in key areas of world strife and humanitarian necessities, I began to understand the difficulty and enormous challenge facing healthcare providers. Over a period of 38 years, I was exposed to many cultures in developing countries, leaders trying to solve complex problems, government officials, NGOs, academia, private sector warriors, and more. They confirmed my vision: to strategically connect health value at the nexus of information assurance and healthcare access. This is my mission; it defines how I approach the world.

I am a rational dreamer:) My school buddies called me Sky Walker because I could jump, but I embraced Sky Walker because the ideas I had was always larger than my peers. In time, those ideas have flourished and matured, and I developed abilities to gain global perspectives from political, economic, culturally, and military viewpoints, to develop strategies and transformational blueprints, enabling me to start Global Strategic Connections 360 (GSC360)- after traveling to China and visiting the cities of Kunming, Nanjing, and Wuhan between 2016 and 2017, discussing healthcare innovation with government officials, NGOs, academia, and private sector business leaders.

My noblest professional achievement was to successfully serve my country and retire from military service. My noblest personal achievement is giving my life to Jesus and telling others about him, supporting building orphanages, advocating for special needs individuals, and working with the poor.

I zero in on the transformative potential of health information technology. Sixteen years prior to my creation of GSC360, I saw the challenge health leaders were having to innovate and create new value, and then eleven years prior to GSC360 I saw healthcare innovation in full spectrum functionality when I was the Deputy Chief Administrative Officer of Walter Reed Army Medical System. Founding GSC360 will allow us to create a healthcare eco-system of 360 innovation centers that will permit us to build a “Medical Banking & Micro-Insurance “concept focused on information assurance, information deployment, and information analysis; at the individual and at the strategic level, for healthcare to become more impactful by making actionable healthcare decisions.

Success will consist of grabbing the attention of conservative industries of banking and healthcare and bringing IT firms, healthcare groups, educational institutions, and governments (domestic and international) to join in our global innovation healthcare ecosystem. So, I feel my experience in strategy and business transformation from the Department of Defense, coupled with my capabilities developed at General Dynamics Information Technology and Honeywell, enhanced by my global travels and my network of global leaders, has us prepared for the global stage.

I believe that closing the health protection gap, using medical banking and micro-insurance, is among the highest global social priorities. Our vision, once put into place, can forever change how banks and healthcare stakeholders approach the world’s population…for financial and healthcare services. Families that had no hope can gradually build a real future without fear of being wiped out when the next medical emergency arises. Combining medical banking and micro-insurance replaces fear with hope…and this is the journey for this lifetime.
